There was a picture that must have been taken at the same time with cowbells that was in the radio times but this is another one.

You can see who wears the trousers. Well, alright, you can't. But you know what I mean.

Maconie is taunting the older man with his loud shirt, youthful vigour and tufts of chest hair brazenly on display.

I was going to say Stuart's joined the mile high club with Mark Lamarr, but thought better of it.

Evening all,

I downloaded and listened again to the Robert Plant/Allison Krauss show and enjoyed it from beginning to end (well, I could have done without "This Just In").  Are they starting to really gel as a team or was it just an extraordinary conjunction of stars, planets, entertaining guests, lively callers and decent music?

I've noticed it too. They are getting better and better. Records may not be the centre point of the show and they do spin the mandatory playlist clanger but they are really doing well. They're pinging things off each other and they're prepared to lose their dignity for a laugh.

They're beginning to play with the medium of radio and mock the standard format. Ken Bruce always makes a good butt of a joke! Jezza Vine and Steve Wright came in for some attention too recently. Radcliffe & Maconie are gradually aligning themselves with the kingpin of Radio Double One, Mark Lamarr.

Salient points. The Krauss/Plant show was an enjoyable show, and I think the guests played a handsome part in that.

It has improved a bit. There are still things that irk, but by far the biggest rub was the constant disappearing of one or t'other. It didn't help, and often showed up both presenters as being better alone then together.(My opinion hasn't changed with respect to that.)

Has the Led Zep. thing given them a free-er hand with the music? It's been a good format that makes a change to a live session. It gets you a thorough interview and several tracks from the artist without mumbling musicians and either presenter say 'yeah, no' to begin their sentences.

They need more Sally Lindsay!!!

Fun programme, great crack, two middle aged men drooling (probably) over an enchanting, buxom soap star.....
No, seriously,  It's getting better - the last few programes I've downloaded have been very entertaining - Led Zep etc.  It'll never be cutting edge like the Graveyard Shift, but it's what I'm listening to, so it must be better than the rest , right?
I'd much prefer a more serious approach mind you.  Does anyone know what happened to Jane Gazzo on BBc 6musicHuh??
