Sounds like Katie is actually live tonight.

Unless the whole show has been pre-recorded?

I've not been listening to it, I'm listening to Tom Morton. Tom says the Family Mahone are going to be playing on his show tomorrow (or Friday) - I can't imagine the Family Mahone playing on the Mark Radcliffe show, we'll (I'll) see tomorrow night.

I would prefer Mark in his usual spot. But at least he will get more listeners at that time of day, and then they will realise what a great DJ  he is , so he will get more popular. Im looking foward to see how it goes. Smiley

Mr Baubles, can you get it recorded please? Doesn't Tom's show go on untill 12.30.

Marc Riley has often mentioned Rima who is Peter Hardy's wife, the first caller was Rima. Mark was talking about her name as if he had not heard it before. I was thinking the whole thing was recorded and that was the Rima up untill he said at the end that Paul Stanley had got the connection right, then I was just confused.

Katie likes to make a 'fun' story out of murder and violence doesn't she, and Mark laughs at it, I hope he's just being polite, She is the worst guest by a mile.

'fun' = horrible and not entertaining

I've just been trying the BBC Radio Scotland listen again thing. Works like a charm. Should have no problem recording the show.

All the way from Shetland, nice start to the show. 'Here's where the story ends' by the Sundays. Slight break in transmission too. Feared Him from Kilburn might be breaking in...

Was this show recorded in 2000 because he just said that the Sundays song is "10 years old"!?  Roll Eyes

This is what Mark really likes, isn't it?  It's clear from his book, "Northern Sky" - and it's great that he's got the chance to do it.  Maybe Radio 2 should give him a roving "Andy Kershaw" type briefHuh  I'm Irish, and enjoy the Celtic stuff, but I'm a Rocker at heart. Best programme on the radio Smiley

There's not enough Scottish Gaelic on Radio Double One...

Do they still have to get a full translation so they know she's not saying anything offensive?

Blimey Charlie, this (not) circular breathing one's impressive.  Big up the ceilidh massive!
