The trails still baffle me, they are meant to target people who might want to listen but they put on a trail for Russell Brand. Surely one for Marc would be better.
listeners to him and Mark who haven't ventured  over to digital might be encouraged to.

I think they should scrap all of them.

What was that sampling rubbish Mark started with last night? "Avalanches" - anyone any the wiser?

I love Frontier Psychiatrist!  It was good to hear it again.

The bunny got referred to as 'he' I think.

I thought Mark said 'it', which would have been fair enough under the circumstances!  I tried to get on the Crucial 3 to discuss the matter further, but it wasn't to be...  Sad

8 ) The Crucial 3 was poor, are those really the best three tracks in the world under 2 minutes long?

Songs under two minutes better than Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want, and For Noone?  They were two songs I was very happy to hear on the wireless.

Oh dear, outnumbered by 293746197 to 1 on The Avalanches. Perhaps the problem is that you lot heard it first time around, which I didn't, and hearing something like that (which was new techology ages ago) in 2006 for the first time, it sounded very weak. And I'm not anti-sampling - I was an Art Of Noise fan and everything. I'd rather listen to "Television -  The Drug Of The Nation" by Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy than that record.

Earlier this week, Radio 1 won Station of the Year at the Sony awards. Tune in these days and you hear a station with a strong, almost cocky, sense of identity and music to match. The weekday line-up is the finest in living memory, and includes high-profile female presenters. You only need to look at Radio 2's daytime schedule, or the list of Sony Award winners, to see how rare this is.

Jo Whiley, for example, quietly gets on with her music-packed, sunny show each morning. Like the much-feted Zane Lowe, she has impeccable taste in music and such boundless enthusiasm that it's impossible to listen without scribbling down the details of a new track or artist she has introduced you to. I like her big sister mode, especially when talking to nervous listeners, and the behind-the-scenes glimpses of her job that she weaves into her chat. Yesterday, the breakfast show team had broadcast from her studio, a fact that quite discombobulated her. "Nothing feels right," she wailed, "it smells a bit funny". It took two rather brilliant tracks before her equilibrium was restored.

What chuffin planet are these people on?.

Radio 1 daytime the best ever.......It's just an annoying buzzing noise in my middle aged ears now.

Radio 2 daytime fawn fawn . Absolute bobbins. Ken Bruce [The king of bland] Jeremy Vine [the voice neo consertatism & a mouth piece for the Daily *spit* Mail.
Steve S**te. A hasbeen with a crowd of pathetic sycophants & Z-list celebrities.

Do they actually LISTEN to what they are reviewingHuh.

Avalanches = sh*te.
Radio 1 = sh*te
Zane Lowe has no taste. he's only interested in himself.
Jeremy Vine is the only guy who plays BSP on daytime FM national radio, so leave him alone.
If the Russell Brand trailers are meant to attract people to the show, they don't work for me. Nothing about music and not funny. Failure.

I'm getting agitated again.

Work off that agitation by frolicking in the pastures. Or you could try primal bleating. Go to the hills and let the valley ring with sheepish anger. Grrrrr. Well, more of a Meheheheh.

I watched Russell Brand on Jonathan Ross' show last night and he didn't even mention 6Music he was only talking about big brother's big mouth. That doesn't suprise me as Jonathan has said things about 6 Music that I don't agree with. During one of his weekly putting down the man who pushes all the buttons moments he said to Andy a couple of minutes after playing a trail that Marc was on, something like "you should be grateful, a lot of people would like your job, what about that Marc Riley floating around over on 6Music i'm sure he would be glad to be on here" AS IF!!!!!

But think how big the Mint! Mission Impossible budget could be! Oodles of cash. Maybe as high as a tenner each.

arsehole radio has never been entertaining to me. It's bound to be pretend as the show would grind to a halt otherwise, and it is just to get listeners opinionated. But I've never found it appealing.

Edit: Someone's stolen that capital A again. arse.

Avalanches...
Avalanches....
Avalanches.....

Plenty of capital A's, yet they're sh*te (Sheep and I think anyway), so why can't arse have one?

As for Vine I referred to his topical content which usually makes me switch off before I've had a chance to notice what music he's playing / been given to play. Polo-necks arouse my suspicion (think Allinson - there another "A").
