I suppose I may as well replace this thread. I'm not really one of the big critics of this guest. What did people think of Nodrugada Holderas' appearance this week?

I thought he stayed fairly low-key. The cheese-on-toast theme dominated so that amused him. I did not yearn for cheese-on-toast on Friday afternoon when I was Lishening Again.

As for the TV review, discussing a new drama is fine, but does a review of an episode of The Simpsons require an "expert"

I would have kept this to myself as I suspect I am in a minority, but, well, you asked....

Noddy comes across as amiable enough and he's up for a laugh, so he's alright by me.  What irks me is tv reviews on the wireless.  I'm not a fan of reviews - one person's opinion, blah, blah, blah.  And with tv programmes, if I'd wanted to know what the programme was like, I would have watched it.  (Well, I would have watched it if I had a tv, but you see my point.)  Tell me about something that I want to know about!  Music I haven't heard, gigs I couldn't go to, that kind of thing.  Even Nod's stories about being in Slade (or was it Bob The Builder he was going on about this time?) would be of more interest to me.

So, there you go, another person's opinion.

Pretty much what I said on the original Nodthread. Either you're interested and watch it, or you're not and don't want to hear about it. It's not 6 TV. (Well it's not 6 at all.)

I don't mind Nod much. The telly reviews are rarely about things I'd watch though. He's perhaps a bit too shouty at times but that's about all that grates. If only Mark would ask him to back off the mic a bit.

Why's he on again in a fortnight? No other guest gets that amount of exposure.

I've stopped listening when he's on. It saves me bursting a bloodvessel.

If Marc Riley was on that many times I would think it was maybe too many, but Noddy Holder!!!, I could have read a few dozen books in all those hours.

Surely notHuh The show's less than 2 years old, so it can only have been on about 350 times, that means Noddy's on more than 1 show in 10  Shocked
