Title: Public Access Rocket Science.

Bit of a damp squib. Still 20 minutes to go on Glisten Again. I was really hoping to hear some Blunt. Fingers crossed...

It was a bit disappointing but through no fault of Marc's. I hate bleating about playlists, but I think Marc ought to have been allowed some dispensation to play the great unwashed's choices in such a special show. If you're not going to cater to what the listeners have asked for, to who are you catering?

Cut off The Fall and then Prince, doesn't that 6music hourly burp grate?

<shakes head>  So wrong...

I liked 'your' choice, JS, and it was good to hear that Mozzer track.  Did Neil mean to suggest that?  It sounded like it might have been an e mither that got in the wrong pile!

Presumably, they have to have a station ident at the top of the hour (mate). They can't be talking at that point, so it has to be a record that gets faded out. They need to back-time a bit better... if your show's on tape, you're at the mercy of the length of the preceding news, etc. But yes, very irksome.

Yeah, that surprised me too!

I didn't actually request it but it was still great to hear it and nice to get a mention  :)

I can't be bothered to do that anymore,

Prince is on the playlist too, as are Editors.

The New York Dolls covered "Piece Of My Heart" so that's possibly why it was played.

How on earth did Teenage Fanclub find their way into a Parallel Universe from 1972? ;D

Yeah, looks like Mojave 3 have an excellent "street team", which is more than can be said for their record.

Thanks to someone called Sean in the Kingdom of Fife. I'd been thinking about "Sylvia" recently and, being too ill to go and dig it out, I'd been hoping that it would get some airplay.

Am I imagining things, or did the great unwashed get more stuff on the last public access show?

Lastly, I wish Marc and Rob weren't so funny. It really hurts to laugh at the moment, and yesterday's Parallel Universe seemed more amusing than normal.

I missed the Parallel Universe yesterday, but seeing as the other songs were all from 1972 I can't imagine they would have played Teenage Fanclub.

I reckon green songs are current playlist ones and orange ones are older songs chosen by 6music. The orange ones really ought to be thinking about moving to Radio Double One, they're the Blondie, Clash, Elvis Costello and Billy Bragg etc records that are close to being worn out.

Musht grwmble.

*I don't mind adding more colours on behalf of that segueway.

Sodding Focus DIY again, weedly-weedly-weeow-weeow, so many keychanges the locksmith retired on the proceeds; and it wasn't even a listener choice, but Marc's substitution!

No, The Clash and Kaiser Chiefs were a segue chosen by someone on here.

When Marc plays Elbow, you know it will be Fugitive Motel. What's wrong with any of the tracks off Leaders Of The Free World?

It wasn't the best show, but it was obviously the easy way to let Marc off work for the opening England game.
