I was going to listen back to that one LMM, I got as far as the Wogan Eurovision bit and gave up, I've only got til tomorrow morning before it gets wiped!

OK people I have a dilemma. On Tuesday night, I will be holed up at Manchester Trafford Centre Travel Inn. This gives me the chance to see a GREAT FILLUM! (probably too long). But which one to go for, seeing as I haven't actually heard of ANY of them? Help me out!

Do any BBngrs remember a comedy called Operation Goodguys, if so/ not i recommend that you watch this hilarious programme on BBC 4 Tues at 9.30, especially if you like The Office/ Extras type comedy.

Watching it now, its not as good as i thought. But it was funny in its Day.

While were at it ,can i recommend Gavin & Stacy on BBC3. Its good. Smiley

I missed it, missed out. I had me dinner in La Tasca (yummy) and felt very tired, long day on site etc., decided that I'd fall asleep in a fillum, so I crawled back to me hotel! Pathetic. So, I can't send my pre-written review to Radcliffe & Maconie ("too long, 1/5").

Saw bits of Scott Walker beneath his cap instead, as I brushed me teeth.

Solar - say hi next time you're in the Rainy City.

My mother rang me to tell me that that doc was on.  "Oh, you can't watch it, can you?"  Yeah, rub it in, Mother, thanks.  Angry

I do really want to see it, but not quite enough to come round, Veg.  But thanks for the offer.

With or without some gratuitous and unglamourous papperazzi snaps of Marc?

From the Radio Times:
Quote:
A simple but strong idea lies behind this new series: since the 1930s, producers have plundered the BBC archives for live performances and overlooked the spoken-word recordings given by bands and solo artists. Now Marc Riley has selected some of his favourites, starting with a confrontational squabble between the Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, and ending with an erudite post-1996-Brit-awards-debacle press conference given by Jarvis Cocker.

Radio 2. Saturday 21st July - The Thing about Syd

Mork Radcliffe explores the life, music and myth of Syd Barrett a year on from his death. Barrett was not widely known, but the praise lavished on his recorded output reveals he is regarded as unique.

Former Pink Floyd band members talk about Barrett's working methods, and the programme also explores his strange solo output and discovers why Syd's stare beamed down from articles, magazines and news reports as the media went about romanticising a reclusive music figure.
