Just a reminder that the John Shuttleworth fillum, "It's Nice Up North" is currently on tour around the country, with a special introduction by Graham Fellowes.  John showed clips of "It's Nice Up North" on the Fawn Again tour, and it looked... ah... very John Shuttleworth.  Wink

You can also buy the DVD on John's site.

I don't know much about the Bard of Timperley, but Frank Sidebottom, who I understand was a favourite of Mark and Lard, is gigging again.  I saw a poster for the shows at Dr Livvy's in Manchester, but I can't find anything about them on the interweb.

Dunno if anyone will be interested in the man with the papier mache head.  Would he be on the shows, maybe?

An Evening With Frank Sidebottom

Hmmm. Mark and Lard ought to be there to ask just one unscripted question that grinds the whole show to a halt. Does the Dr Livvy's gig include a hot pot supper? Frank's Leyland Civic Centre one did.

The Day The Music Died - Radio Double One, Saturdays, 1pm (also on Lishen Again)

Andrew Collins and chums muck about and poke fun at music.  I particularly liked the Mike Flowers Pops version of Europe's The Final Countdown.

Breathy-voiced, Scandiwegian-accented Hafdis Huld was in The Hub (on Gideon Coe's 6Music programme) on Friday.  She did a lovely version of Tomoko, and just... made me smile.

I don't know if this will be repeated on BBC4 but last night there was a 40 year reuinin of the Bonzo dog Doo Da band with guests such as Steven Fry,Ade Edmondson, & Phill Jupitus.

This was followed by a documentary on Viv Stanshall.

BBC4 usually repeat these things overthe next few days.
