Fleet Foxes: impulse buy at Heathrow, knowing they sounded good on Riley's show, and that they supported Elbow feat. GBGLSOMAWE. Instantly recognised "White Winter Hymnal" and "He Doesn't Know Why".

"Control" by Good Books: also since Riley kept playing "Passchendaele". Haven't played the whole walbum yet - give me time! That Marc Riley had better come round here and put up some shelves for me CDs. D'you think he'd be good at that sort of thing?

Conor Oberst's album: sounds like the lad Dylan in places, if you had told me the one about the postman, Get-Well-Cards, was by Dylan, I'd have believed you.

Pictish Trail - Secret Soundz volume 1: Kraftwerk Trail in places, I've said before that I Don't Know Where to Begin is definitely in my top songs of 2008. Jonny Pictish posts it out himself too.

Indeed it was my Album of 2008 ( along with the Glasvegas album) because of the Walker Bros sound.
