This week I have been mostly listening to Brett Anderson's eponymous walbum.  And I can feel Sheep from here barely finding the energy to even perform a full rolling of the eyes followed by a shaking of the head but it's a'ight.  Some of it's a'ight.  3 songs are a'ight at the very least.  And, into that package, I'm also going to say there's a picture of his cat on the back, so...  You know.  Cats are nice.  Purring n'that.

You have to lie in a gutter in London and look at the stars while getting high on gasoline and letting plastic people walk by while listening to it to really understand where it's coming from.

Can I lie in the garden at dusk, watching bats flit about above a clear, deep blue night sky, instead?

You can, but only if you can muster a feeling of despair about the modern world which you love and hate in equal parts at the same time.  From what I know Anderson finds his sorrow through moments of clarity when he knows for certain he's not David Bowie or, alternatively, when he realises he's eaten too much brown rice in one sitting.  His dream was to have a bonier arse than Sir Mick of Jagger but such an accolade is still out of his reach.

I can't roll my eyes right now. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Never got that walbum. Any good, or all mad? Good to have an aerial in the car, though.

Spike is a cracker of an walbum.
I have it on vinyl but had the forethought to tape it as soon as I got it to keep it mint & I use the tape more than the record.
Only a couple of tracks that I wasn't to bothered about including Spats paws & claws.
Favourite tracks are Tramp the dirt down & The satellite.

Kate Bush is a challenging listen I think but good nontheless.
A walbum you have to be in the mood for.

I think I'll do a CD random shuffle on the way to Ma's in a short while.

I am now listening to assorted Metallica tunes courtesy of Youtube through the HIFI & volume is wife annoyingly loud.

She's gone out though so I'm getting away with it!!.

Admired them from afar I'm afraid.

I did see them on TV at Download last year I think it was & they were pretty bloody phenominal.

As for Guns & Roses reforming at Download...........well they should have stayed split up if the original members couldn't be arsed or hated Axl so much.

Methinks I'll just pop off to YouTube again for an hour.

Velvet Revolver have failed to impress me to be honest.

I don't dislike them but I don't like them enough to be emotionally invovled.

Yeah, but at least we got to see that Fearne Cotton hasn't been employed for her in-depth interviewing skills.
